I have officially been working for over a week now! I started last Monday, September 14th at the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund, as Program Manager of Constituency Services, Health Policy portfolio. The non-profit, 501-c3 organization is based out of L.A. with satellite offices in Houston, Washington, D.C. and New York. Since 1976 it is “the leading nonprofit organization that facilitates full Latino participation in the American political process, from citizenship to public service.” Learn more about NALEO here.
I am extremely excited and happy to be back at work, and am more than ready after having a nice summer vacation and recuperation from the wedding planning, moving and finishing grad school. Cameron and the kittens have adjusted well to having me gone during the day (Cam gets home earlier than me now and gets dinner started most days! yay!) and I am happy to be working for an organization with a mission near and dear to my heart.
